The Fox News Sleaze Train just dropped off another bucket of slop, thanks to Tucker Carlson, who interviewed “leading scientist” Devra Davis. Davis, as she has been doing for many years, engaged in fearmongering about cellphone radiation and brain tumors, urging the recalcitrant FCC to _do something_.\* Never mind that brain cancer rates have actually been declining in recent years despite increasing cellphone use. Somebody’s gotta have cooked those figures, right? You’d never know from the Fox News story that Davis, who heads an organization that specializes in fact-deprived handwaving about cellphones, 5G etc. is a fringe figure whose claims are not accepted by the great majority of researchers in the field, have not been confirmed by large-scale quality studies, and whose own writings have been roundly debunked elsewhere. The founder of the company compared his phone to world peace….because it’s easy to talk about it as long as you never have to deliver. Seriously.
