But that is not what the scientists say, and the reports I have seen are not what FOX news claims. What FOX does is to set up a straw man as an argument. An argument that in reality the scientists are not making, nor the reporting from more reliable sources. ---

Any reasonable person, particularly on the right, would immediately deduce that free fenatyl given to kids is hardly in line with the “Yee-Haa God-save-us-all” capatilism which appears to be the right wing stance. I’m curious if the DEA really believes the smugglers are _targeting children_ by making the pills look like candy, because that sounds stupid to me. While I have no trouble believing that they are packaging the drugs to look like candy, which probably constitutes depraved indifference, I’m pretty sure they are doing that in order to conceal them during the smuggling process. I really doubt that they have some sort of master plan to hand free deadly doses of fentanyl to first graders, telling them it’s candy. ---

Adults leaving drugs around where kids can find them is a real hazard though serious repercussions appear rare. They usually stick to facts during their actual news segments, from what I remember when I watched years ago (though they may mislead through omission of certain details, or cherry pick their stories to fit a narrative). There have been times when the news portion flat-out contradicts their opinion pieces, most notably around the last presidential election. The lady in the previous video wearing the Trump/Pence shirt might very well be getting her info from the opinion shows. ---
