My brother, who is currently into RC planes, showed me the videos of this thing in flight. I agree, it’s pretty amazing. He was recently at a RC get-together. Someone there had a model B-12 (I think-- I may have the number wrong) that was pretty impressive too. But it wasn’t as big as the B-52 in the link. ---

Let me see if I can get you pics and movies of the 1:18 757 and L-1011s we use as test vehicles in aerodynamic research. Almost as cool as the B-52, and similarly powered. They’re available on the NASA Intranet, but I need to ask about releasing them to members of the public. ---

My Fiance went and took the video camera so that I could see what I was missing. That plane looked enormous! Next year I’m definitely going! ---

Just out of curiosity, how much payload can a model airplane carry? Like this [1:12 scale C-130](http://www.spectrumwd.com/c130/articles/rc.htm), for instance. And a completely unrelated question, 😃 how much do paintball guns weigh? ---

I posted too soon. I found a [kit](http://www.jethangar.com/Aircraft/Hercules/C130.html) of a 1:10 scale C130. And the site says it can carry 10 lbs of payload! 🙂 Holy cow! It costs $2245, engines not included. ☹
