I would like to publicly thank you for _finally_ finding and using your shift key to capitalize two whole letters in the thread title!

Then, _three_ in your first post, none in your second, two more in your third and none in your fourth!

I figure if you pop out a couple dozen more smilies you may be able to use an acronym one day.

Apparently, you’ve fallen in with the wrong sort. To whit, **Shayna** and **ultress**. Has your father never told you about “those kind” of ladies? They should be proud of their newbie mentoring philosophy.

I must again fault our school systems, decaying neighborhoods and eroding nuclear families.

The missiles remain on their launchers, the planes are returning to base, and all crews have stood down.

My initial post has been deleted in deference to the posters here who’ve been raised, and taught manners, by someone other than syphalictic dead-monkey felchers and goat 'nad squelchers.

If Shayna and Ultress are “the wrong sort”, then god save the wicked. Half of us newbies have fallen in with them.

Having said that, fnord’s post made me reach for the Extra Strength Excedrin.

I must admit, I’m impressed.

Hey Uncle Beer, go light on the guy, please. He did this because **ultress and I** told him he _had_ to do it as [part of his newbie initiation hazing assignment](http://boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/showthread.php?threadid=27332). He was just following orders. If yer gonna chew someone a new one, make it me, ok? Cuz I started this.

Personally, I happen to think this is hilarious and fnord was a really good sport to go along with our hazing. And even the Chief took it all in good humor.

Goddamned kids have it too goddamned easy these days!

Back when **I** joined the board, I had to try to argue the creationist point of view against DavidB for _three straight weeks_! Then I had to try and switch UncleBeer’s regular stock of Guiness with Miller Lite! You should have seen the whipping I got when I was caught…

By God, we’re going _soft_ on these new posters! That’s why we’ve got all these trolls! They need to be _tough_! _Mean_! Why, to make my first post, I had to walk three miles! Uphill! Both ways!

Ah, what a glorious day it was when the world saw the debut of the [Rolleyes Concerto](http://boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/showthread.php?threadid=1330). The old smilies came from UBB, and therefore have since been put to sleep. Imagine what that page used to look like with animation!
