I just realized that earlier today I walked under a ladder AND broke a mirror. I needed to borrow a short ladder from my mom’s to trim my hedges. She’s in the midst of getting roof work done. As I walked off with the ladder I needed, I walked under a tall ladder leaned up against her house. Several hours later, I was working on my bathroom renovations. The wallboard is coming down, and the mirror above my bathroom sink was glued onto the wallboard. As I tried to remove it, it broke all over the place. If a black cat crosses my path later tonight, I’m going to be like that priest in “The Omen,” who had Bible pages wallpapering his room. :eek: Anybody wanna come hang out? ---

ptooie. I’m a painting contractor & walk under ladders on a daily basis. I also have a fairly mobile black cat (I can’t remember whether it’s left to right, or right to left crossings that are “bad luck.” whatever.) ---

Apparently in Britain, black cats are actually good luck. So if you do see one, just assume it has an english accent, and you should be fine. ---
