What is that “A is for Amy who fell down the stairs” poem? I liked what you had before. Is it copyrighted? I would like to put it to music.

This sounds like Edward Gorey’s poem “The (something like “Gashlycrumb”) Tinies”. It certainly is copyrighted – and illustrated by Gorey. It’s available as a stand-alone book, as a poster, and I’ve seen it anthologized.

I’m not **Tisiphone,** either. **Cal** nailed it. It’s by Edward Gorey and yes, it’s copyrighted.

You would probably also enjoy “The Curious Sofa”, by Ogdred Weary. Same author. Some of my favorites have just been reprinted in adorable little hardcovers by Harcourt Brace& Company, in case you wanted to know.
