Somehow I saw Darting Fog and thought that would be neat to see. You’re looking around in the dark and suddenly this glob of fog scoots across the yard and into the neighbor’s garage. Then it gets tangled up in this big ball of twine and suddenly you have A Foggy Thread in Neighbor’s Yard. ---

It is comforting that this thread has a few believers who keep infusing life into an otherwise moribund idea. Whatever happened to the surge of original ideas that appeared in the beginning? Where are the novel concepts? Have they all been spent elsewhere? Is that why the sitcoms of today have lost their punch? Is that why we seem unable to come up with new heroes to rival the old ones? Where is the “new idea” lurking? Is it with lurkers who have yet to speak to the issue? Maybe we should ask another question or two: How long is it until soon? Where is the end of the rainbow? ---

Must be time for this thread to turn itself into a pretzel or a Mobius loop. Just out of curiosity, how many dimensions does this thread occupy? I’ve often wondered about the geography of cyberspace, have you? Just where in space/time is this thread located? Does it exist in one place, many places, no place? Is it even real in any tangible sense? Why would they make stuff that isn’t real in the first place? Seems like a waste of nothing. ---

Now it’s been 48 hours and change since the last post and that was mine! Is this thread about to die? The first post was on 08-22-2003 07:57 AM so we only lack a couple of days before its first month’s life may be its last, and I will not do another back-to-back posting. Please help save this thread’s short life at least until Monday the 22nd. Then if it must die, so be it. ---
