The thing is: Marley sees the tiny bit of goodness in a poster, much like a woman sees something in a man that no-one else sees. Marleys’ moderation of Der Tris is obvious in this light. Much like the Democrats’ love of Obama. No-one is evil per se. Everyone has a point of view. But when anyone’s idea of friendship or loyalty is allowed to be carried on or beyond their ideal of justice or honesty or decency … the result is not … beneficial … to anyone. I assumed Marley was a woman because of her/his ability to see a spark of goodness in the midst of overwhelming ugliness. ---

That’s something I don’t want to do. Nope. It’s controlling the tone of the debates, which is something **Marley** has said is a goal in the past. The OP would be perfectly free to start another thread in GD on the same subject that is not a rant. This happens quite frequently. As it is, we just re-enforce the behavior that leads to routine demonizing of the other side.
