My cheap vertical blinds that pull across the glass sliding door have been falling off, so I stuffed them behind a cabinet until I got around to buying a vertical blind repair kit. So I got the kit at last, and now it’s been sitting on the kitchen table for two weeks. It would take me all of 10 minutes to clip the things to the broken blinds and hang them up. But no! Instead I am sitting here telling the world that I haven’t fixed them yet! ---

For background, I probably spend at least five hours a day on the computer, longer on weekends - about half the time playing games, the other half reading stuff. I am a lazy person. My video card got dusty, so it would overheat after about 5 minutes of playing any games with 3D graphics. So for six months I only played crappy online flash games and read stuff on the internet. Last week, I went to the hardware store that is **literally** next door to my house and I bought a can of compressed air and cleaned it. It cost about $3 and took me fifteen minutes to go there, buy it and clean my computer. I am even lazy about being lazy, basically. ---

I think you’ve wised up to “what’s the point?” I realized as I grow older I want and am able to flake off if I choose. This reminds me of the play “The Glass Menagerie” where the mother insists Laura get dressed up in case she gets some "gentleman callers tonight.
