Well, it seems to me that an absolutely stubborn approach to moderation is pretty much SOP around here anymore such that “an inability to admit that you’re wrong” would be a desirable trait. ---

Porn, penises, and dildos–that shit is _threatening_. Ick, poopy poopy, ick ICK! **TYM** is too big of a puss to own up to his hangups and clear-cut moderating mistake. Which is bad enough, but he’s also got to be a dick about it in this thread, as others have noted. Which is also bad enough, but this sad excuse for a mod can’t even get the condescension and contumely wrong! Instead of peforming with fluency and wit, he sounds like nothing more than a petulant bitch. I–TOLD–YOU–I--WAS–_RIGHT_. And really, **Skip** , grow some balls, be a meta-mod, and throw this trash out. Everyone knows that he’s not going to make it. ---

Part of what has surprised me about this episode is that **This Year’s Model** is being so obstinate when he’s so clearly wrong - I’m used to this place having more thoughtful moderators who are willing to reconsider their actions. I have my doubts that even **This Year’s Model** thinks he’s made the right decision, since he certainly hasn’t explained it well. Contrast this with, for instance, **samclem** ’s willingness to reopen the logarithm thread in GQ. But like sand through an hourglass, so are the moderators of the SDMB, and I guess the new crop either ain’t ripe yet or just plain needs to be tossed back. (Take three metaphors; mix briskly; bake at 350 degrees for ten minutes or until golden brown.) Meh. The Google ads were plenty of reason for me not to resubscribe. This just makes the decision a bit easier. ---
