Although I have been known to go without underwear (usually just hangining out around the house), I guess I just never have the guts to try wearing a thong. Maybe someday I will try it and enjoy it, but for now, give me bikinis or those other ones, I think they are called tap pants? ---

Of G-strings and thongs: First of all, Cecil Himself has spoken on the origin of G-strings, to wit: [http://www.straightdope.com/classics/a1\_296b.html](http://www.straightdope.com/classics/a1_296b.html) I have heard the term G-string used almost exclusively as a very brief garment worn by strippers in the day when total nakedness was totally illegal, consisting literally of some strings and a tiny patch of fabric that covers a woman’s genitals. They would of course have wanted to be as naked as legally possibl.e The origin of the word thong is a narrow strip of fabric, often leather, used for binding. That’s where the reference to the sandal comes in – thong sandals are held on by a narrow strip of fabric running between the toes, just as a thong bikini is held on by a narrow strip of fabric running between the buttocks. Women generally look great in thongs. Fuller panties are just not as sexy. ---

No, **wendyrules** , not tonight. I just had a few to feel a bit better midday. I am now starting an alcohol-free week. I like cleaning my system now and then, plus I have hopes it’ll keep me from to much trouble. After the christmas partys I’ll go on a 3 month dry out period. Wish me luck. Ya know, we seem to derail this thread a lot. ---
