# Those better informed, pls enlighten re Duturte/martial law in Mindanao??

Duterte might call himself part-Moro, meaning he identifies with them. But he is part Cebuano (general Christian Indo-Malay stock) and part Lumad, which is the indigenous pre-Moslem culture in much of Mindanao.

Our revolutionary society, founded to gain independence from Spain through armed revolution, was the _Kataastaasan, Kagalanggalangang Katipunan ng mga Anak ng Bayan_. This was usually shorted to just _Katipunan_ or KKK.
