Going on for over 10 years, people still make fun of Alanis Morissette for **Ironic**. It’s been over, what, 60 years now, and people still make fun of France for surrendering to Germany. So I’m curious, what other people or places have done things that they can never live down? ---

Michael Fish. BBC weatherman of ‘there won’t be a hurricane’ fame after someone called and said that she thought there would be. Cue a big fuck-off storm that took down half of South-East England. He’s defended it in various ways, including the fact that it didn’t technically qualfy as a hurricane (but only technically). Whatever happens, he will never, ever live it down. ---
