Most Dopers know I work with passwords for a living, but few know I’ve been mentioned by name in [Herb Caen’s](http://www.sfgate.com/columnists/caen/caenobit.shtml) newspaper column. Trust me on this. At the time, (~15 years ago) being mentioned in Herb’s column was a BIG THING, and was good for a couple days of friends calling or running up on the street saying “Hey! Herb wrote about you!!”
