Delighted to hear from you. You’re always a pleasure to read. I’m on the [cusp of a writing career](http://boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/showthread.php?t=618298) (well, on the cusp of commencing to try to start to begin to attempt, with no experience at all). Any tips? Apart from banning self from the SDMB, of course, which I’ve already planned. 🙂 ---

Howdy, **Eve**! You’ve returned in time for my retirement. Technically, today is the first day, altho I’m not sure the weekend counts. You really should pop in more often. And bring snacks. 😃 ---

Most people don’t know this but in my spare time I troll public transit lines with my well trained faux guide dog Erasmus and pick up women. You’re not fooling anyone - we can see from your username that that’s not a dog, it’s a cat! Good to hear from you again, **Eve** (in real live form, not zombie form). ---

Well, hi!. You might not remember me, but I crashed the Dopefest party in Charleston some years ago. The big memory I have of that night, other than everyone else wondering “Who is this guy?” is I was the only guy at this table full of women who did not know who Kobe Bryant was. ---
