**akaii** – Welcome to the Straight Dope.

When a new user joins up and immediately starts two threads pointing users to the same site, two possibilities come to mind. One is that the user is simply looking to interject themselves into the community by sharing content they enjoy.

The other is that they’re a spammer, looking to drive eyeballs to a site of which they’re affiliated.

I’m going to hope the former is the case here, and advise you not to link to any more [viralworthy.net](http://viralworthy.net) content.

Yesterday afternoon I was napping, and I heard my phone beep with a text. It said, “Aye, do you have an iPhone 4 charger?”

I texted back, “No, I don’t have an iPhone.”

They said, “damn. thanks anyways.”

When I woke up later, I looked at the sender and realized that I have no idea who that is.

On May 4, 2011, at 7:15 am, I received the following text (I know this because I kept it):

“Hey it’s erica wanna do me a favour and drop me off something on your way to work i can meet you outside methadone kills coming off”

After I stopped laughing I replied “Sorry, wrong number.” I almost wrote “Good luck getting a fix” but didn’t.
