Many smartwatches and fitness trackers have the ability to track sleep cycles. They aren’t going to be super accurate since they aren’t tracking brain waves, but they can give an indication of how well you slept based on the things it can track.
The best thing I ever did was to start keeping a small memo pad and pen on the table by my bed.
Whatever is going through my mind and keeping me awake, I write it down.
That seems to take those thoughts out of my head and help me fall asleep.
I have learned to take it, then go directly to bed.
