(not much of a pad needed when they beamed up 400 tons of whale and water) ---

Heck, within the container there has to be a magnetic field or force field or something that keeps the anti-matter from contacting the container. Just have that field shut down five seconds after the container is transported. Anti-matter grenades. ---

Hey, Ferengi weren’t Totally Useless… what about the Magnificent Ferengi? Quark grew on me, not unlike a wart…😉 I’m honestly confused about Antimatter beams… what about PET scans… aren’t positron emissions a little like an antimatter beam? what about instant annihilation? I’m not AT ALL a scientist… so please don’t harsh on me… just thinkin’ out loud… ---

In the Ferengi’s first appearance, I recall Data saying to Riker “Careful, Commander. They are stronger than they…” just as a Ferengi decked Riker. That was pretty much their one-and-only moment of glory. Wow, TNG sucked on multiple levels, I can say in comfortable hindsight. Sure, they had their mid-series highlights, but man… ---

TNG was great. At least tied for second in episode batting average among Treks. ---

If you don’t get Trek, you’ll never like Trek, and vice versa. TNG was every bit, if not MORE FULFILLING, to it’s creator… I’m not trying to be litigious… if you hated TNG, how do you know about Riker? why did you visit this thread? If you’re a fan of TOS, i’d hope you’d have at least a modicum of support for Roddenberry’s other endeavors… ---
