Lord almighty. Yes, _in that one paragraph_, where I was responding to someone asking me _what I thought_ he’d said, I didn’t repeat any weasel words that I’d used in half a dozen previous posts. So when I use a weasel word _in the very next paragraph_, you decide to tell me I don’t mean it? There’s some serious ill-intended reading of other folks’ words here, especially ironic from people insisting we don’t ascribe ill intent to the professor’s approach. ---

When you start a post with the words “I think I’ve been really clear on my answer here,” and then proceed to summarize your position, I believe that it is completely reasonable to take what follows as a summary of your position. YMMV. ---
