I’m doing no such thing. I’m suggesting that you are presenting an oversimplified solution and asking how you would address this situation.
Your hypothesis as the thread starter - which you have failed to back up with cites - is that Jew hatred is an expected outcome of the creation of the State of Israel. In light of your proposed single state solution, I’ve asked you how you would handle the case of the Jews expelled from neighbouring Muslim majority countries and whether they hold the same rights as you feel the Palestinians do in and in comparison to another two state solution created at the same time in history which involved ethnic cleaning.
Instead you have chosen to stonewall. Are you willing to enter a genuine dialogue?
It’s not necessarily oppressive. It’s regrettably oppressive. You keep pushing your unfounded opinion as fact. You might as well start asking people to answer geological questions based on the premise that the world is flat.
Yes you are. By bringing up “the Muslim world,” and then adding Inida/ Pakistan, and California/Mexico you most certainly are engaging in whataboutism.
You have mischaracterized my hypothesis.
Given these two fallacies, your replies do not make for a genuine dialogue.
The pograms justify the existence of Israel, something that you clearly have a problem with. You want to eliminate Israel in its entirety, and substitute a Jew-free Palestinian country. This is your plan, your goal. It’s transparently clear.
Do you not see a Hindu/Muslim two state solution parallel to the Jewish/Muslim divide in the creation of Israel? I’m merely drawing comparisons to other regions that went through similar patterns.
The one I was responding to…? If you are struggling that much with this discussion, I don’t think that it’s worth continuing it. You’re not even trying. I’m going to have to assume there’s no longer any point.
I’ve been trying to give you every chance here to explain yourself out of respect to you, but you’re stubbornly refusing to do so, and I think I’ve wasted my time.
Got to admire your dedication to just declaring the same thing over and over forever as the answer.
And to Atamasama’s point, things like “a pluralistic one state solution is the only solution that works”, and “the existence of a Jewish state of Israel is necessarily depriving Palestinians of their rights” are opinions, not axiomatic facts.
Based upon what?
What, do we have an urge to hatefully insult one another personally? We are exchanging opinions here quite well, why should we want to move to a place where we can call each other nasty names?
