The easiest way to ask for a thread closure is to email one or more of the forum mods (they’re listed on the index page of each forum), or use the Report Bad Post function (it’s a [!] button at the top right corner of each post, except your own posts). Posting a request in the thread may or may not get a mod’s attention.
