# Thread Games Forum: are dead threads older than a month automatically killed?

I just idly did a search back to the “beginning” in said forum, to see if there was anything that had fallen by the wayside worth resurrecting-and [the oldest thread is one](http://boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/showthread.php?t=791446) last active on the 22nd of last month-46 total threads. Is anything older lost forever, then? Whose decision was it to limit said forum in that way? 😕 ☹

Scroll down to the bottom of the forum list page. Under the “Display Options” blue bar, you will see three boxes.

“Sorted By”, “Sort Order”, “From The”

Go to the third box, and change that from “Last 45 Days” to “Beginning”.

OK losing my effing mind-I KNOW I did exactly that (I mean, I’ve been here 10 years, I know all about that key) and twiddled the thing before I hit refresh. Just went back, and they’re all there. Going crazy…
