In all other V-bulletin boards I frequent, once a poster has posted in a thread, the thread status icon next to the thread title in each forum has a checkmark in it. Why doesn’t that feature work here? Surely that little checkmark can’t put _that_ much strain on the servers. Can it?

IIRC they had tried activating this feature once and it caused the servers to crash. I don’t remember the details offhand, but I’m sure someone else will be along with more info.

You recall correctly. When the servers DIDN’T crash, board speed was about as fast as a glacier. Yes, it’s possible for this board to be slower.

It’s a feature that we’d like to impliment, however, we figure the tradeoff isn’t worth it.
