# Thread subscription issue?

Despite having posted to [these](http://boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/showthread.php?t=702150) [two](http://boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/showthread.php?t=702117) threads, I’m not automatically subscribed to them. My options are the same as before—no email notification, but subscription. Has anybody else experienced a similar issue?

At some point DesertNet will discover one of the mail servers is malfunctioning and restart it.

And then you will see all your emails, probably in a big lump.

The question wasn’t about email notification, but the subscription itself. Notice he says his user options are “automatic subscription, no email notifications”, but the OP is not being **subscribed** (vs notified).

Yes, exactly. FWIW, I’m subscribed to this thread just fine, and likewise to the test thread I posted to earlier, so perhaps it was just a momentary glitch.

This has happened to me, but rarely, only a couple of times.
