Abortion threads. Eek. We just go back and forth and no one ever changes their minds, and the thing is, probably no one ever will. Abortion is just one of those things that you decide and almost always stay that way. Cats. Enough with the cats already! And I am tired of the elite/snobby threads too. Like the one about the bookshelves seemed to me to be nothing more than “Look at all the cool stuff I have and you don’t!” And then there’s the ones about the IQ, or how fast you read, or how many books you read a year. I hate those since it seems like everyone is trying to one-up each other. ---

[/QUOTE] I don’t know how common they are, but the “how old were you when you learned to read” topic always makes me sprain an eyeball. “I was 5.” “I was 4” “I was 3 1/2” “I was 2!” “I read my babysitter the directions from the formula canister.” “I talked my mom into breastfeeding me. She was going to bottle feed, but I had read the brochures on breastfeeding in the obstetricians office while she was pregnant with me.” ---

My thing is, must we always have the opposite type of thread? For example: Things we hate \_\_\_\_. Must someone always do a Things we love \_\_\_ thread? Use some originality people. ---

The ones where people complain about how they were picked on in high school or what jerks the popular kids/athletes/fraternity boys were. It’s very sad that you were treated meanly, but not being able to let it go is even sadder. ---

Airplane on a goddamn treadmill. Any of the threads that Jack Dead Tyler started. I NEVER want to see any of those again. I too am tired of the cats. (And I HAVE a cat.) Ditto on the shoes off/on inside. I hate those threads in Cafe Society like “What songs mention XXXXX?” Who cares? (Obviously not me, I never open them.) ---
