…now this, this was the all 3rd class train we took out of Suryabaya. NEVER, NEVER take a 3rd class train in Indonesia. It stopped every 15 mins, I swear. And everytime it stopped more hawkers would come on trying to sell us all and sundry. Mr Elbows was especially enamoured of the badly taxidermied ferret type creature with a snake in it’s mouth, captured, for your entertainment, at the height of the battle. Mr Elbows has always wanted such a thing and we have often had disagreements over this issue. Needless to say the journey was a nightmare. Mr Elbows spent the entire 12 hrs pouting over this. But the scenery from the train, lovely. ---

I am unfamiliar with that term. Oh naive one, this thread isn’t about competing against _other_ threads, it’s about killing this one. It is it’s own goal. I couldn’t give a shit about other threads’ legacies or where _this_ thread stands in relationship to other threads or how many posts or pages _another_ thread contains. …and, of course, a sunset shot of Kuta Beach. Famous as one of the best sunsets to watch on earth. You know, even though I’ve seen it on a thousand postcards, I just can’t help reflecting on it’s beauty. Lovely. ---

I can’t seem to kill it, no; let’s see if I can make it sick The mermaid pulls out a syringe filled with a green vaguely glowing liguid and injects in right between threads eyes. There take that witcha. I have just innoculated the thread with Methicillin Resistant Staph Aureous (MRSA), Vancocillin Resistant enterococcus (VRE) and skin scrapings taken from a patient with erysipelas. He should really be feeling bad in no time. MRSA and VRE are extremely difficult to cure and erysipelas is extremely painful, causing the face and hands to break out in a huge, painful, red, weeping, painful rash. Try not to get any on ya. ---

…Gee, while Mr Elbows is changing trays, I’d just like to say it’s not often enough that we get together like this. I so enjoy having you here, and sharing these slides with you has brought all the joy of a great journey rushing back. I admit I’m getting a little misty.
