I just looked up Desiderata on a search engine and didn’t even bother to think about the author. I didn’t think Kipling sounded right, but I cut and pasted it from the link anyway. I stand [corrected](http://www.tiac.net/users/hcunn/desiderata.html) My apologies to the Max Ermman family. BTW I always enjoyed the National Lampoon parody, Deteriorata. “you are a fluke of the universe, you have no right to be here, whether you can hear it or not, the universe is laughing behind your back” The lovely vocals on that song were done by the lovely Melissa Manchester. Of course I could be wrong. ---

I know how to kill this thread…tell it to stop smoking. I stopped smoking yesterday after 17 years. I’ve eaten what seems like 12 pounds of sunflower seeds, 2 bags of chips from the machine and drank 5 MT Dews this morning. Smoking just may be healthier. I’m also not very nice today. ---
