# Threadspotting: Your most successful thread

The longest was an SUV rant in the BBQ Pit that ran to 5+ pages. My most succesful and threadspotted was [my wedding](http://boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/showthread.php?t=267056&highlight=wedding) thread even though it didn’t last much longer than the announcement. But to me, the most amazing thread was my [swim mobile](http://boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/showthread.php?t=261224&highlight=swim+mobile) thread. To this day my family is still awed by that. Hell I’m still awed by that!

My most successful was an IMHO “Wiping: Sit or Stand?” It was inspired by an argument my wife and I had (she couldn’t conceive of how anyone could wipe standing without getting shit on the walls. It generated a lot of technique sharing, a lot of “how the hell do you do that?”, and in the end, we all learned something.

It kept getting resurrected until finally some mean Mod locked it.
