Three days in Richmond, VA - any "must-do"s?

If you’re into some shopping, I highly recommend Carytown. It’s a 7-8 block stretch of shops, mostly eclectic. It’s a good place to walk around, although it’s been cold here lately, so bring warm clothes.

I moved to Richmond from SF a few years ago, and I find Richmond rather boring, unless you’re a civil war buff. Just my opinion.

We didn’t end up with too much spare time at all (plus it was very cold!) so what we did was drive down the Boulevard to Cary street, and then drive along thru Carytown on the way to the Capital Alehouse which is on East Main.

I thought the food was quite good. My son enjoyed his hamburger and beer, and it was a nice little scenic trip from Short Pump.

Again, thanks for the recommendations. We are going to try to go back during a more temperate time of year, and maybe do some of the other things.
