# Three Lions, Bafuna bafuna, Blackstars, Orange: What are we (USA) called (World cup ?)

Shrug, in Spain La Roja is La Roja whether it’s in football, rugby, hockey, handball… I’ve been wondering why it is a problem myself. I don’t think I’ve heard it so much in basket, but I have heard it.

'Same in Holland, every squad that represents Holland in a team game will be called Oranje. Unless they use different colours (why would they?!) like the volleyball squad used to do.

I just paged thru my old ESPN the Mag World Cup Preview, and they list the US as The Yanks.
