I guess I’ll wait for the cause of death from medical experts before I speculate further. ---

To me it sounds like garden variety Dying in the Wilderness stuff. It reminds me of the entries Christopher McCandless wrote before he starved to death in the Alaskan wilderness, and other sorts of things people write when they die slowly. People in this situation know on some level that they are dying but psychologically I don’t think they want to face it, so they start writing these mushy diary entries instead, and just sort of offhandedly mention the thing that’s killing them. McCandless was openly hostile to his parents, but when he was dying he just wanted to see them again and emphasize how much he loved them, and like, oh by the way, these potato seeds I ate made me sick, probably. I find the whole phenomenon fascinating. ---
