I thought this was so bizarre from the beginning. I don’t know, I guess it’s because I’ve been on some loads in my life, but never one that I’ve slept for 3 days and haven’t had a memory of who was with me, needing to use the bathroom, eat, etc. Do they have any idea who supplied the drugs? ---

I’ve been following this… and thinking that if I were a “Party Hardy! KInda Guy”, this would be a shot across the bows. I’d cut back to having a couple of beers at a party after hearing about this story. ---

If I was the survivor of that event I’d sure think that. “Scared straight” so to speak. Nearly everybody else in the USA? “Naah, it’ll never happen to me. I don’t get _that_ f-ed up.” etc. Aside: Is it “party hardy” or “party hearty”? I always thought the latter, and at first look thought @digs had it wrong. But the more I think about this the less sure I am. Anyone? Bueller? ---

I’d always understood it as “hearty”. FWIW, [Google Ngrams](https://books.google.com/ngrams/graph?content=party+hardy%2Cparty+hearty&year_start=1800&year_end=2022&corpus=en&smoothing=3) shows “party hearty” has been used about twice as often as “party hardy” pretty consistently since the 1970s up to about 2010. After that, “hearty” has decreased somewhat but remains in the lead. ---
