On a cruise ship in the middle of the pacific, Hercule Poirot finds Mr. X dead on the floor of his cabin. Mr. X has died and Hercule Poirot is sure that Mr. X has been poisoned. A box of chocolates is found next to Mr. X. Hercule Poirot assumes the chocolates contain poison, but the butler says “impossible! I ate several of those chocolates myself.” Hercule Poirot also eats one of the chocolates and does not die. How was Mr. X murdered? ---

A man is standing inside an old-style phone booth. Two of the sides of the phone booth are shattered. At the man’s feet we can see something wrapped in a newspaper. How did the man die? ---

Is the man dead? Yes. Is the object wrapped in newspaper the murder weapon? No. (why is the man still standing? It’s hard to fall down in a small phone booth.) ---

Did the man die of a heart attack? No. If the two sides were smashed, the man would fall down. The two sides are not **completely** smashed, portions of it are. ---
