Without thinking about it much… 1. Robert Heinlein: one of my favorite authors, and a real character on his own. 2. Samuel Clemens: great observer of his times. 3. Thomas Jefferson: influential FF who contributed much to framing one of our most important freedoms - separation of church and state. 4. Sarah Michelle Gellar: she’s hot. 5. I wish I’d been in on the dormroom bull sessions when all these three were studying at the Sorbonne at the same time: (1) John Calvin - who theorized Protestanism into a heartless equation. (2) Thomas Loyola - who was to Catholicism what the kamikazi were to Japan (3) Rabelais - who rejected the mindless dogma of the above directions in favor of the eternal merits of eating and fucking and farting. Another historical juxtuposition in which I’d wish to participate: Vienna, 1913, during a six-week period when both all the following were in town and in relative obscurity: (1) Adolph Hitler, living in a men’s hostel (2) Joseph Stalin, in town on party business (3) Any local black-market gun dealer * * * Your deep sea diving suit is ready, me brave lad. ---

You realise, of course, that Jesus would be speaking Hebrew, Hitler would be speaking German, and most of the other ancients will be like Italian or French or whatever. Oh, stop it, you guys. I’m really just a normal person with good connections. Joey’s birthday party was at a bar called Coney Island High in Manhattan. My friend’s band was playing so I got in. Joey appeared at about 2 am and played a few selections. I vaguely remember being introduced to him (he was as inebraited as I was, IIRC). I think he hangs out at that bar a lot - if you ever come to town, go there and ask for him! As far as people who I have met (and always wanted to meet) the list is as follows: Ack, I’ll just start a new thread! ---

Mary, mother of Jesus - I would like to ask what Jesus was like as a little boy and if those stories about pigeons and killing other kids that pissed him off are true. Currently, 1. Ed Asner 2. Santa Claus 3. Bruce (a very interesting philosophical priest whom I know) Back in time (if I could change history) 1. St. Paul (take him forward in time and show what his bigotry towards gays has caused…specifically to the Nazi death camps) 2. Alexander Scriabine (he could adopt me and teach me his musical style first hand.) 3. John Dowland (he could also adopt me) If I could eliminate any three people from history: 1. St Paul 2. Hitler 3. Jesus They are all on equal par. I would not get rid of Jesus because I think he is a bad person, only because so many of his words are interpretted in a bigoted/wrong way and misconstrued so they can rationalize so many various forms of hatred.
