I frequent TelevisionWithoutPity, for example, and those forums are filled with people saying the equivalent of “Oh I was watching Food Network and **HusbandOfChoie** happened to walk by and said the funniest thing about Rachael Ray!” or “Two-year-old **ChoieDaughter** thinks Katherine Heigl’s knees are hideous too!” Why not just say “My husband” or “my kid”? Yuck. The cutesy, it burns.
