Irk woes. One of the supervisors, A (not my own direct one, but they’re friendly), is POed at me. I answered a question asked by great-grandboss T (store manager), to the best of my knowledge, belief, and intent completely truthfully. A went down my throat today about how she had never said what I clearly remembered hearing her say (and had mentioned during said conversation with T). My memory of that interaction with her (weeks ago) is clear, and what was said did not leave a lot of room for ambiguity. I never claim infallibility, and if she’d said something about misunderstanding her, I could deal. She simply accused me of lying, which I did NOT do. So be it. This particular person is just not someone who can really be dealt with anyway (others there have had similar problems), and I generally try to avoid her, since dealing with someone who seems constantly angry with me is a problem around my anxiety issues. I’ll keep things professional with her, but not interact if I don’t have to. The problem is that A and my own supervisor, E, are friendly, and I’m quite fond of E. I worry that her friend’s claim that I lied about her will damage that relationship, especially since E has told me that one thing she really likes about me is that I’m completely honest with her. I do NOT want my credibility with her or my reputation for integrity to take a hit over this. (sigh) I may be worrying too much, which I’m good at. E behaved normally toward me all day, even after A landed on me. If they’ve discussed the matter, I don’t have a lot of hard evidence that E is really being influenced, but I’m still worried about losing her respect. ---

**Nettie** work politics suck. Hopefully your good relationship with your boss will hold steady. If she has valued your credibility in the past, hopefully she will continue to judge you by her interactions with you. Was this incident something you could discuss with your boss directly? ---

I’m a bit afraid to, since we are talking about a friend of hers, and I really don’t want to be seen as trying to stir up drama between them or anything like that. I did talk to another sort-of boss, J (long story about how the various authority types fit together), who thinks that I should talk to E, but giving it some time so I can calm down is reasonable, in his opinion. I’ll see how E deals with me tomorrow. If she’s still behaving normally toward me, maybe I should just not bring it up with her? ---

Hey Rosie, Not sure what your parking situation is, but if this helps any: I was unable to drive for a considerable amount of time before/following a foot surgery and got myself set up with a trickle battery charger. Still had a neighbor friend start/run it for a few minutes once a month or so for fluid circulation, but it was a great solution for keeping the battery charged up and ready to go. I, for one, was kinda enjoying the cheesy puns. No idea why 😃 ---

Good morning and Happy Firday!! I slept pretty well with Mel, altho I did wake up several times - I fell back to sleep right away. Today is strip-the-bed day and first shot at vac-n-mulch-leaves day. I’ve also got half a dozen fingerless mitts to deliver to the store. At the moment, I’m having breakfast. We shall see what follows. Meanwhile, let me just say that getting sufficient sleep is good. 😃 ---

Gave too many forks last week (appointments on three consecutive days) and therefore couldn’t give a fork for most of Friday 😃 Silverware drawer mostly back to its normal low level now, hurray! ---
