I just found a slightly skeevy picture on my dentist’s Facebook page, of him with a bunch of young women. One of the ladies is pulling on his shirt. He wrote in the picture caption about the lovely ladies… Not sure how I feel about that. 😕 Too random to put anywhere else, so here it is in this thread. So much to do today, so little time. I could probably get a new dentist, though I have other family members who also go to this dentist, and I don’t think I feel like explaining the situation to them. Though this dentist is somewhat far away from where we live, so I could always say I’d prefer a dentist closer to where I live. ---

Commenting about people’s looks is a hot-button issue for me, so a dentist talking about “lovely ladies” would definitely be an irritant. I remember Bill Clinton talking about a congresswoman calling her a pretty lady - seriously? She’s an elected representative and you focus on her looks? And don’t get me started on beauty pagents - just because you’re born physically attractive you are automatically better than others? _\_ I know I shouldn’t get wound up about shallow people, but it irritates me, whether speaking of men or women. Yes, some people are really good-looking, and yes, I have been known to appreciate those good looks, but in the grand scheme of things, looks are superficial and pretty much meaningless. Is the person smart? Kind? Generous? Skilled? Corrupt? Selfish? Manipulative? I’d say knowing those things will serve you better than knowing someone’s clothing size or makeup tips. OK, I’m done. For now. We went to Lowe’s and got some dimmer switches for my mom. We’ll go to her place on Sunday afternoon and stay over till \*\*FCD \*\*does his presentation for her AARP group on Monday. He can install them for her before the meeting, and I can dig thru the yarn stash. We also went to WalMart so my sweetie could get a mouth guard - the dentist said he grinds his teeth and a fancy, dentist-made guard would cost several hundred bucks. We picked up one for under $20 - if it works, we come out ahead. Then after, we had lunch at Red Robin, and my lunch was free, since we’d already bought 9. Yay for Royalty Rewards! 😃 Time to stitch up some towels. When I dropped off the mitts, Deb asked for more towels. Busy busy! ---

Midget, guy might have been on vacation somewhere and just got a bit…too loosened up…that said, putting it on your facebook where anyone-including customers–can’t see it was not a good decision. You’ll just have to ask yourself if you’re comfortable with this guy standing over you and putting his fingers in your mouth or not. Also depends how much you see of him (Me, my 6-month appointments usually have an assistant cleaning my teeth and taking x-rays and the dentist spending about 3-4 minutes taking a quick look-see). Your call, of course. Is it time to go home yet? Why does time slow down on Firdays? (and no, I don’t care what Einstein said about time, it does measuably slow down of Firday afternoons). OH, and I’m over 1,000 posts here; mostly thanks to discovering several thread games along with the MMP. ---

**Emily** , did you have any issues with your dentist before seeing his FB page? If not, he was likely doing a decent job providing you dental care. Please take that into consideration. I will likely stay at irk all day today. I got [del]roped into[/del] assigned a special project that will prolly take the rest of the day. Then it’s off to the grocery store. Such excitement! 😛 ---

Howdy all. I have been home four days and accomplished very little. I have caught up on my sleep though. I have a monster backache for no particular reason except maybe laying in bed too long. Just finished hemming 20 tea towels, and I stenciled 8 of them. With luck, I can deliver them on Tuesday on my way home from work, since they don’t accept incoming merchandise on weekends. Tomorrow, I’ll iron on the _St. Mary’s County_ tags and do an inventory sheet. I think the rest of today, I’m not doing anything. ---

Howdy Y’all! I survived Firday and ‘tis now the weekend. YAY!!! Sallit and magic intartoobz pizza have been ingested. Tomorrow I shall spend a fair amount of time cookin’. I have three biiiiiiiiiiig packages of ground beast (bought it used) that will turn to two beastloafs and a bunch of meatballs. I shall also make skettie sauce as I just took the last two packs outta da freezer. I promised waffles and snausages for brekkie and tomorrow night’s dindin shall be skettie’s and meatballs with leftovers for Sunday N.O.L. Slap a string of pearls around my neck and call me June Cleaver. 😃 **midget** I’d be a little skeeved as well. I could probably give him a pass if it’s on his personal facebook page. However, if it’s on his bidness page I’d have to think long and hard. ---

The main belt broke at work so we had to do 41,000 packages totally manually. Been there, did that, got the t-shirt from last year but for the new people it was something of a wake-up call. Several resigned before the end of shift. Also found a friend was on his last day today. He got caught in a loophole (he was technically a seasonal and in his 11th month) and may not be coming back. Happened to a couple others as well. Coming into peak season I will miss them muchly. ---

Depending upon the basket, it comes up to at least your waist, some come up chest high in the corners. Saw an undercover cop car, with a non-uniformed cop doing a traffic stop (that’s usually a big no-no). Two minutes later, saw a state trooper had pulled over a tour bus, another rarity. ---

Well this has been the day of crappy news. Between lunch and dinner, it’s been revealed that the lump under DH’s arm is lymphoma. Don’t know what kind, grade, etc. until he sees an oncologist. Our primary doc says a lot of them are quite treatable, and the surgeon who did the biopsy aid the CT scan didn’t show any other masses, so hopefully, we’re dealing with one localized tumor. The other news is that I apparently have a heart problem called long QT syndrome, which was the probable cause of my post-op crisis on Tuesday and some odd occasional fluttery feelings that we thought were a side effect of a new thyroid med. Long QT is in the “can cause sudden cardiac death” camp, that goes along the lines of going dizzy, fainting and slipping into ventricular fibrillation and not waking up. :eek: ---
