Once again, one of your number is led to the Altar of Truth to face their final reckoning.

The vote unanimous excepting his own, **special ed** is the undisputed choice among your number. However, as the magic of the Altar causes him to shed the shadows concealing his form, he is revealed to be that which he claimed – Tygra, one of the loyal ThunderCats. His look of disappointment is palpable in the moment before he disappears in a deafening boom. The lights in the cavern fade away once again.

**special ed** , Tygra (Good team) has been banished. Dusk has fallen. Night Four has begun. Dawn will break on Wednesday, 5/11 at noon CST.

Fluid, if there was 3 scum remaining, and 3 town, would the game had ended after the lynch?

The center of the room is bathed again in red light as **Mahaloth** suddenly cries out from the Altar of Truth, a glistening object in his outstretched hand.

“Thunder, thunder, thunderc—”

But, with a crash and a bang, he is silenced and a great clanging noise is heard as the object falls to the altar. When the flash of light dissipates, its identity becomes clear. Where **Mahaloth** was a moment ago now lays the Sword of Omens, hopelessly sundered.

**Mahaloth** , Lion-O (Good team) has been banished. Day Five has begun and will end on Friday, 5/13 at 4pm CST.

I don’t have much time today due to work and school, but I see we are at Lynch or die. Everyone seems quiet right now, when we should be plotting the death of scum.

So, what are peoples thoughts on who the scum is? With two of us investigated as town, we have 3 choices, with possibly 2 scum (unless chitwood is the GF). Who are people leaning towards? I’m thinking it might be red for reasons previously mentioned, but I’m thinking we need to get a concesus.

#1 Red/Pleo

IIRC Red Skeezix has never gone after Pleonast, and Pleonast didn’t go after Red until Red was already getting suspicion elsewhere. As well, Red would seem to be Pleo’s most obvious next pick after Ed (the only really obvious one, as he’s all but ruled me and Jimmy out; and you’ve been investigated), yet he hasn’t been around to say so. Red’s barely been around at all and ignored most of what was said against him yesterday.

#2 Red/Hirka (godfather)
Hirka attacking Red (and later vice versa) at LYLO, no; at two left and with otherwise nothing to dissociate either of them from Inner or from each other, the motive is there, and the direction of initial attack is also correct, given the timing. I’m not sure whether the posts themselves support this.

#3 Pleo/Hirka (godfather)
The day one spat between Pleo and Zeriel (Hirka) is classic distancing in effect whether or not in intent, but I don’t remember what the Pleo/Hirka relationship has been since then.

# 1 needs the fewest assumptions and accords with my suspicions as well, so I’m also inclined to just keep voting Red Skeezix, but it’s not set in stone yet.

Colorized final votes.

Day One
**glowacks** : 5 (Red Skeezix, Giraffe, Astral Rejection, special ed, Normal Phase)
**Tom Scud** : 2 (Mahaloth, Hirka T’Bawa)
**Astral Rejection** : 1 (glowacks)
**Mahaloth** : 1 (fubbleskag)
**Jimmy Chitwood** : 1 (Tom Scud)
**special ed** : 1 (Wolverine)
**Hirka T’Bawa** : 1 (Pleonast)

Day Two
**Giraffe** : 5 (Astral Rejection, Jimmy Chitwood, Tom Scud, special ed, Red Skeezix)
**special ed** : 3 (Pleonast, Hirka T’Bawa, Giraffe, fubbleskag)
**Jimmy Chitwood** : 3 (Mahaloth, Normal Phase, Inner Stickler)

Day Three
**Inner Stickler** : 8 (Mahaloth, Tom Scud, Astral Rejection, special ed, Hirka T’Bawa, Red Skeezix, Normal Phase, Pleonast)

Day Four
**special ed** - 6 (Pleonast, Red Skeezix, Mahaloth, Hirka T’Bawa, Jimmy Chitwood, Normal Phase)
**Normal Phase** - 1 (special ed)

Known town
“Confirmed” town (could be godfather)
Known scum
Unknown alignment

~ ~ ~ ~ ~

There’s two possibilities.A: Hirka T’Bawa and Jimmy Chitwood are town, and one of Pleonast, Normal Phase, Red Skeezix is regular scum and one the godfather.
B: One of Hirka T’Bawa and Jimmy Chitwood are the godfather, and one of Pleonast, Normal Phase, Red Skeezix is regular scum.
Since we’re at lynch or lose, we need to get both lynches right. I think the best tactic is lynching our best guess in the first group, and then assuming we get that right, figure out who the remaining scum is. If we happen to lynch the godfather in the first group, we’ll be in decent shape, since at least one confirmed townie will survive to ToMorrow. If we lynch regular scum, at least we’ll be still around.

My gut says **Red Skeezix** is scum and **Normal Phase** is the godfather. However, given how wrong I was about **special ed** , I’m not entirely convinced to follow my gut. Let’s look at who’s left, starting with the “confirmed” group.

**Hirka T’Bawa** : As **Zeriel** , jumped on **Tom** for suggesting early claiming. This could be a godfather looking for an easy target, since it’s common for players to be lynched for suggesting arguable ideas. Then gets subbed out, **Hirka** has played fairly pro-town. I think is a reasonable candidate for godfather.

**Jimmy Chitwood** : As **pedescribe** , did not participate or vote on Day One. The other non participant on Day One was scum. Would two out of three scum not vote on Day One? Seems unlikely. Picked a fight with me for tactical disagreements. Backed down once picked up heat for it. I could be wrong, but I still get a townie feel.

**Normal Phase** : Came in late on Day One with low-risk, pro-town discussion. Day Two voted for **Jimmy** , along with a now-known town and scum. It seems rather risky for two scum to load up on a third candidate, when the other two were town. I think unlikely to be scum.

**Red Skeezix** : If they’re not scum, then we’re looking at the first two lynches being all-town, unless one of **Jimmy** or **Normal** are scum. I’m now thinking those are less likely. The simplest explanation is **Red** is scum.

I’m open to better cases, but for now,
**vote Red Skeezix**

We do need a consensus, but we get one by everyone putting their thoughts and cases out there. This post strikes me as very much “post something without taking a stand”.

I’ve been after **Red** since Day Two. I’m not sure why you’re trying to spin that as late.

And I stated yesterday that I wouldn’t be around much, just so I wouldn’t get accused of holding back. Note that no one posted anything yesterday. At least I gave notice.

Yes, I saw your day two comment about Red’s lack of participation, but a non-counting vote on such a perfunctory basis hardly counts as “going after”. Kudos on getting in ahead of the crowd, demerits for lack of oomph. This could get interesting.

[Worthless frustration] Would **Mahaloth** get results before dying, other people who have played more than me? His post really bothers me either way. If he did find something out, why on earth would he leave with something as open to mind-gaming as that? WIFOMed by my own dearly departed teammate! I realize that there’s nothing to be done with it, and we have to assume that he wasn’t conveying any information whatsoever because we can’t follow up on it. It’s also cheating if he was conveying any information - further indication that he wasn’t. Which is probably why it’s bugging me that he said that when he said it. I can’t unread it, but I can’t do anything with it. [/WF]

Anyway, so here we are. This started as a general read-through with no particular focus, but it took one on rather quickly. As I was going through I saw that **Normal** had already commented on a few things that I had already written down, so I kind of skipped what she said and went back later. We basically agreed.

**Red Skeezix** – first vote on **glowacks** on day one, for **glowacks** ’ post about how **Tom** was either a mason or scum. Accused **g** of the unholy trinity of smudging, mason-fishing, and ginning up a false justification for a vote. **glowacks** hadn’t voted for **Tom** at the time, and I wasn’t involved in the game, but it seems to me that it would be hard to think somebody was doing all three of those things at the same time. At the time that **glowacks** posted, there were two votes on **Tom**. The first sentence of **g** ’s post was this:

> [@](#):
>
> I was very close to voting for Tom when I read his very first post (and am not surprised to see votes for it), but then I thought more about it.

I would submit that a town player at that point would be pretty unlikely to view that as a smudge - he’s telling you not to vote for **Tom**. Town players definitely had a problem with **glowacks** ’ post, but not that problem. **Pleonast** said that this was a mostly good vote, but nobody as far as I can see commented further on that specific aspect.

**Skeezix** ’ only other post that day was this one, #84:

> [@](#):
>
>
> We’re a quiet bunch this morning!
>
> The lynch is coming up soonish. I’d like to see people who don’t have their votes in yet to seriously consider who they’d like to see lynched.
>
> Another thing I think we should all do prior to the lynch is give a snapshot of how we’re feeling about all the active players. If you find them suspicious, or leaning town on them, or having no read at all, I’d like to know. I’m on my phone, so I’ll do mine a little later today to get things started off.
>
> Any serious issues with this? One benefit is that scum would have to obviously lie about how someone strikes them, or honestly admit that their teammates are striking them as scummy. It’s a little bit of extra information as we head into Night.
>
> Thoughts?

This post is giving me the stinky eye towards astral. I feel like the case I made against glowacks is typical day 1 fodder (90% hunch, 10% evidence), but in the past my gut has been pretty good, so I’m ok with it. There’s been additional votes since I made my case, and this post feels like the beginning of a late day swing. I’m fairly confident at this point, if glowacks comes up scum that one of his voters will too (i’m thinking astral but it’s a relationship feeling and not a astral on his own feeling).

The problem with what astral is suggesting at this point is that it will give scum more information to balance their play against. I see no need to reason to lay all my suspicions down right now. Plus as I’ve seen time and time again, laying a whole pile of poorly thought out suspicions out there, tends to lead to accusations of smudging AND town infighting, due to the time it takes to defend against such suspicions and the fact that (at least for me) that being voted for draws attention. If you’ve got solid leads on scum, by all means lay them out so they can be examined and discussed, but this call for other lesser cases, is leaving me feeling leery.
Which is interesting because the point is: don’t let them know your plan, but the content is: I plan to look at **glowacks** voters if **glowacks** is scum. It is a presentation of a lesser case against **Astral** , based on the fact that presenting lesser cases benefits scum.

Day Two: this is the **Red Skeezix** contribution:

> [@](#):
>
> I have not had the time I thought I would have. But the best I can cobble together is:
>
> vote Giraffe

Fifth vote on **Giraffe**. The first four were all town. Or, rather, town and myself, who might be the godfather as far as you know, but who I know to be town.

**Hirka** found that vote scummy and voted **Skeezix** for it early. **Pleonast** then bullsh… er, purple text non-voted for the same reason. **Pleonast** ’s actual vote that counted went on to **ed**. He thought the bandwagon against **Giraffe** was really bad, which made him suspicious against **ed** , who was town, and against me, who had just investigated as town.

**Skeezix** replies:

> [@](#):
>
> **Hirka T’Bawa** : Voting the leader at the last second is it? Funny, I wasn’t even the last voter. Well, had I not voted giraffe, then it would have been ed on the block? Would that have been better or worse? I dunno. The lynch was a close one, so better to vote, and at least have something to be held accountable for, than to just be silent.
>
> **Pleo** : Participation doesn’t get much worse than mine yesterday. So yeah, you’re right.
>
> Still getting caught up on yesterDay, but I’m casting a hairy eyeball at Astral.

It’s tempting to interpret the part about **ed** as a bit of perfect information – “oh, you’d rather I lynch some other townie instead?” That is probably a stretch, although the other interpretation would have to be that it didn’t mean anything at all.

**Tom** was suspicious of **ed** and **Skeezix** at this point as well. Then **Normal** did recaps on **Inner Stickler** and **Red**.

**Red** comes back later with a state of the game type post, starting with this:

> [@](#):
>
> ok just catching up.
>
> As far as the day two votes. I voted giraffe because he was already in the lead and the lateness of my vote meant that it would have minimal effect based on what I’d skimmed from the day.

Which is kind of refreshing honesty. I voted for him because 1. he was in the lead and 2. it would make my vote mean the least.

Continuing:

> [@Red Skeezix](#):
>
> Going into today, my main suspicion was on Astral for reasons I pointed out on day one, which were then weakened by glowacks being town, and for appearing twice on town lynches (which I’m also guilty of) that I suspect scum involvement in. His appearance outshines Ed’s yesterday since ed has the self-protect vote justification.
> It wasn’t enough for a vote earlier + him being a claimed mason means he’s off the radar for now.
>

The death of fubbleskag finds a a plausible explanation in my mind that fubbleskag had the possibility of reaping a whole lot of town credit if ed was to end up dead and scum, since he brought ed to the brink of being lynched. So, while it is wifomy, it’s on my mind.

Suspicion of **Hirka** , suspicion of **ed** , weakened suspicion of **Astral** for now, vote **Inner Stickler** because the masons said so. That seems a lot like one of those posts laying all his suspicions out, which is what **Astral** was supposed to be suspicious for back on day one.

**Skeezix** later clarifies that “for now” really was just a turn of phrase, and that the bit about **Astral** was just for the purposes of resolving what he had said earlier. Also says that his suspicion of **Hirka** is because **Hirka** made up the fact that he voted in the last seconds, rather than just late in the day.

Next day, **Pleonast** votes **ed** , saying of **Red Skeezix**

**Hirka** votes **Red**.

**Red** says:

> [@](#):
>
> Given that we have 2 investigations and 4 unknowns (at least from the general perspective).
>
> I was thinking about a mass claim, but that would likely only expose pantrho. Which would be enlightening if they are amongst the unconfirmed but harmful if they are in the investigated.
>
> So, i’m going with my suspicions based on the fubbleskag kill. I think that makes sense for a scum kill that night if Special Ed is scum.
>
> vote Special Ed

**Red** and **Hirka** go back and forth a bit about whether **fubbleskag** was targeted directly. **Red** hadn’t considered that maybe **fubbleskag** was martyred (I don’t think he was martyred).

**Hirka** switches from **Red** to **ed** - not really sure why. That’s the way “the wind was blowing.”

Then **Hirka** says he thinks I might be the godfather, which is all right. It was true that I hadn’t really understood based on my reading of the rules that we might _not_ have a Panthro, so I was having a conversation I didn’t know I was having. **Skeezix** picks right up with me, talking about a second kill making it more likely that there is a Panthro. There was assuredly not a second kill.

Then I bought a ticket onto the **ed** bandwagon, and there ended the danger to **Red** , pretty much. **Normal** voted **Red** anyway, but then changed over to **ed** (not sure why). Before **ed** left, he gave this list in order of scumminess:

> [@](#):
>
> 1. Normal Phase - never ever trust her
> 2. Pleonast - Has persued me relentlessly.
> 3. Red Skeezix - can be tricksy, vote record is as awful as mine
> 4. Hirka T’Bawa - The surety that Mahaloth was targeted has me leaning Scum
> 5. Jimmy Chitwood - Investigated Town, but there is likely a godfather
> 6. Mahaloth - If he’s Scum, then well played, sir. Ballsy move that paid off when under lynch pressure
> 7. special ed

**Red** and **Pleonast** talked some more about a claim; **Red** specifically about the possible benefit of a protector claiming. And that’s a wrap.

I see almost no instances where it seemed like **Red** was playing for town, to be honest.

**Vote Red Skeezix**
