Yeah, was an attempt to spell out the trilling whistle followed by the harmonica. Hard to do that, tried about four different spellings, that was the best I feel. ---

I’m shocked that it’s taken about 20 replies before we got to “Once Upon a Time in the West.” That opening scene is one of the crowning moments of cinematic history. Absolutely beautiful, perfect movie. And Claudia Cardinale. _drool_ In fact, it’s the only Western I’ve ever been able to sit through. One of my fav movies of all time. ---

_Sunset_! James Garner as Wyatt Earp!! Oh, Bruce Willis, too. 🙂 _Maverick_, both for Mel Gibson (I’m a big Mel Gibson fan) and James Garner. Any western can be made better by the addition of James Garner. Maybe even _Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid_, which is pretty damn good already. ---

I`ve posted this one in another thread, but what the hell: The Quick and the Dead, because Gene Hackman shoots Leonado Di Caprio. For the rest, in no particular order: All the Clint Eastwood`s mentioned, plus High Plains Drifter and Two Mules For Sister Sara Rio Bravo Eldorado 3:10 from Yuma {Written by Elmore Leonard, no less. Pisses on Shane} Dead Man {the only Western to feature Iggy Pop, and it was Robert Mitchum`s last movie. Cool Neil Young Soundtrack, too.} Othello {Not yet a Western, but I`m still waiting hopefully} ---
