I’m all for the big jugs and believe me, we have plenty around here, but “The Hot Yellow Big Incandescent Globe That’s In The Sky” can go to hell!
I’m tired of 99-103 highs without a cloud in the sky! For the past month or so, it’s been like that with only 3 days or so where it was overcast and the highs were in the 90s.

I can’t gloat about the weather down here; we’re under a dangerous thunderstorm warning with local flooding, heavy rain, lightning and god knows what all. Florida sucks today.
I live in Florida. It used to say so under my name or somewhere when I was a Charter Member.

Another day dawns, another day of relentless burningness and sweaty dangly bits.
A day of cloudless skies and high temperatures, of being forced into various pubs to cool off in order to escape the fearsome rays of Thy Big Tits.
A day of observing scantily clad nubile fillies from behind sunglasses of course

But can I ask people to STOP fanning themselves with tiny pieces of paper, such as Underground tickets - 8.5cm x 5.5cm. This does not make you any cooler!!
And it’s only about 31 degrees, for god’s sake (not even 88F). Hardly hot at all.

Today was by far the warmest day I have ever experienced in England. I applaud the actual summer!
I suspect it will lose the title of ‘warmest day of the year’ for _me_ when I go to Vegas in August (!!!) but until then…

For some strange reason it’s only the right-wing press (such as the _Mail, Express and Telegraph_) who tend to use Fahrenheit in their forecast and reports, everyone else now seems to use Celsius.

… although I personally tend to think in Celsius when it’s cold and Fahrenheit when it’s hot. Somehow I don’t think saying “Blimey, it’s 32 degrees!” would sound right either way.
Not wishing to defend the Telegraph (which I buy every day, just to snarl at it), but for a long time now their weather has been expressed principally in Celsius with Fahrenheit in brackets for their older readers (i.e. most of them).
