I haven’t seen any Kent ads since I’m nowhere near WA-3 (and I tend to avoid political ads in general, though sometimes I can’t), but based on the repulsiveness of Larkin’s I’d say he’s a likely candidate to go against Cantwell. Though his failure to flip a swing district may be an albatross around his neck.
I’ve seen a number of comments about how wrong the “East Coast” pundits were in projecting a nail-biter, but just a week ago a KING poll showed the race well within the margin of ~~error~~ Democrat Voter Fraud™. Whatever, I’m just relieved that I don’t have to choose between shitting and going blind.

Almost surprisingly, Kim Schrier held onto her seat representing a district that stretches from Yelm to Arlington to Chelan to Vantage. By about the same margin as the last two elections. The abundance of hammerheads and droolers in the 8th makes it seem so unlikely that a Democrat could prevail in it.

I’m happy that Schrier won but 100x happier that Larkin didn’t. Not only was he an extremist, he just came off as an asshole. Even when you can tell he was trying really hard to show how he’s just a “good-natured family guy” he just looked like a real awful person pretending.

The Democrats control both, 28-21 in the Senate and 57-41 in the house. The senate remains the same as the past 2 years, the D’s picked up 2 seats in the house including one in Spokane that had been held by the R’s for years.

Kent beat the six-term Republican Congresswoman in the primary. She voted for impeachment. So they got what they wanted, the pro-impeachment Republican out, but then the electorate voted for a Democrat on what should have been a safe Republican seat.
