You may be thinking of Guillain-Barre syndrome. There was just an article in the [Chicago Trib](http://http://www.chicagotribune.com/sports/football/bears/chi-28-mitchelloct28,0,1171973.column) yesterday that mentions it, because it has sadly put William “Refrigerator” Perry in a wheelchair.
