Yeah, this sucks. Apart from all his many TV and movie appearances, my kids and I enjoyed his beautiful voice reading the Lemony Snicket audiobooks. ---

I’ve read multiple times that you can tell a lot about a person by what their first experience with Tim Curry was. For me, it was Clue. Clue is the film I’ve seen the most times in my life. I actually, in 5th grade, tried to re-write it as a script for a play and act it out with my friends at recess. I was Wadsworth. Amazing actor, great voice. Dolly and Tim Curry? Ugh. ---

In a great ensemble cast, Tim Curry really stood out in Clue and made it work. I forgot about **Oscar** , [Prime has it for Streaming](https://www.amazon.com/gp/video/detail/amzn1.dv.gti.72bad7c8-fd65-7512-c66d-712b26285789?autoplay=0&ref_=atv_cf_strg_wb). He held his own acting with Sean Connery in **Hunt for Red October**. He had a smallish screen time in [Legend](https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0089469/?ref_=nm_flmg_job_1_accord_2_cdt_t_222) but out shown the stars of the movie, oddly playing _Darkness_. Of course he was great as _Long John Silver_ in **Muppet Treasure Island**. He appears to have 244 appearances as an actor on TV and in movies. ---

Another very popular “first exposure to Tim Curry” movie is **Muppet’s Treasure Island**. That usually encompasses the generation after the _Clue_ generation. I’ve loved him in everything that he was in. He just seemed like a great sport. It was also great to see him still getting out there even after his body started breaking down. He will be missed. ---
