# Time for a Japan-dope?

I notice there has been an influx of new dopers living here in Japan. Last year some of us Japan dopers considered a Japan dopefest, but nothing came of it (AFAIK). Maybe it is time to think about it again?

Hey hey hey, this thread wasn’t here when I checked today!
I would LOVE to have a Dopefest, but I doubt I’d be able to make it. And I bet no-one would want to come all the way down to Matsuyama for it!
Unless you do something during the summer holidays…it MAY be possible then.

No problem. It seems to have sunk fast from when I posted late klast night.
Actually I was thinking of heading that way around obon. It all depends on when osaka-gf gets off from work

Maybe this time next year we’ll be in Japan for a Japandope – Papa Tiger’s company has a BUNCH of jobs open all over Japan, so we’re keeping our fingers crossed that he can snag one. So don’t give up, **Dave** , it may happen yet!

I think **Cerowyn** ’s going to be in Japan through most of August, so he might be up for a get-together. As for me, all my weekends until September will be free, so I’d be willing to do some travelling for a Dopefest.

Sounds like a good idea, but getting everyone in the same place might prove difficult…
I’m out of the country from August through September, so sadly that means I’m out for anything during the summer. Also, as I’m currently on a meager student budget, anything outside of Tokai or Kansai is going to be difficult for me.
If all else fails, we could always do an online get together. _Dô_?

Well, after so many months straight of work followed by three weeks cooped up indoors, I’m up for a little travel pretty much anywhere. As long as it’s on the weekend, I think I’m good for it.

I have most of the first 2 weeks of Augusrt off (6th thru 20th) off, and I’m up for Shikoku for sure. Tokyo might be alright as well.
