Mine is a quote from J. Wellington Wimpy of the Thimble Theater (AKA Popeye) comic strip. Wimpy had talked Popeye out of eating a potato, claiming that it looked like his uncle. It was just another of Wimpy’s scams, of course. ---

Mine comes from the thread about whether humans would make good pets for a race of Alien Overlords. I opined that we would not, because we would constantly be trying to kill them to win our freedom. **Lemur866** replied to one of my posts with the line that became my sig, and which I consider to be one of the highest compliments I’ve been given on this board… ---

There was a thread called _What **is** time, anyway?_ or something like that. I must have been in Mad Poet mode, and I posted this. I don’t think it drew any comments, but I like it. It may have been the only time I was ever in Mad Poet mode. I don’t even know the cheat code for that. ---
