[The last thread](http://boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/showthread.php?t=179917) was made in 2003. So fess up. Who here has an account on Neopets? I’m 27 years old and both me and fiancee do. We play most every day. Really, it’s the games that draw us, but the “trying to get as much np as possible” is good motivation too. ---

There was another one back in [2005](http://boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/showthread.php?t=309662) . I don’t think I’ve played since then. Between World of Warcraft and Pokemon, I’m all full up on games I feel guilty about still playing. ---

I did, once upon a time. I’ve since found more attention-robbing games, such as _Dynasty Warriors_, _Disgaea 2_, _Maple Story_, and _Phantom Brave_. I play games to kill time, so if I don’t find it enjoyable, I don’t play unless I’m already addicted. (And even then sometimes I feel the need to do something different. Right now I’m eagerly awaiting the newest _Warriors_ series to come out.) ---

I have an account to kill time at work. Haven’t had much time to log on in the last couple of months, 'cause I’ve had trainees to work with, but when I have a fully trained staff I have all kinds of downtime at night and I have to do something to keep myself awake. I have an account at Marapets, too; it’s a lot like Neopets, but in addition to adopting pets you can create an avatar for yourself and dress it up. ---

Daily neopets gamer, or at least checker-in. I’m trying to get up over 10,000,000 np, to get the highest % at the neobank. So I log in every day to get the interest, harvest the freebies, and play at least one game. I think it’s nasty/clever of them to only give you interest on the days you log in to claim it. Most annoying moment: after spending big bucks to turn my Lenny pink (which made it look like a flamingo) I got hit by a random event that turned it invisible. ---

I have a ghost paintbrush I’d sell you–make an offer? Ghost Lennys are pretty cool… My most annoying moment was, on the day I started playing, my Kyrii got turned into a baby! He’s gotten into it now, though…and he’s still a badass. ---

Yeah, currently my bank account is a Double Platinum one. Although I just started playing a few days ago after ignoring my account for six years. 😛 Items I have few. Food I have plenty. But right now I’m mostly working on building my NP up so it takes care of itself. I find I can get about 15,000 to 20,000 np a day. Already I have the games memorized that give the most. ---

_Puts hand up_ I’ve been on there for nearly 2 years, after my daughter got me hooked. I don’t play every day, but I make sure I’m there for the plots, and the games are good. I’m trying to make my fortune on the Stock Market, but it’s slow going… My Kougra is Perry1965… ---

I’ve just recently returned from a long break from Neopets but am now as addicted as I ever was a few years ago. I tend to play for long enough to get me about 5000np a day - I wish I had the patience to make 15000 - 20000 a day! My user name is furry\_mongoose if you want to throw me a neomail anytime 🙂
