I haven’t done one of these request for updates threads in ages, and there are some older threads I’ve been curious as to the outcome of… **evilbeth** , waaaaaaaaaay back in November 2000 you posted that you were looking for a [Royal Stafford teapot](http://boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/showthread.php?postid=903132#post903132) for your mother. I tried to help you find one at the time, but came up empty. Every once in a while I get curious and search ebay or places like [Replacements, Ltd.](http://www.replacements.com/webquote/RSTCLO.htm), but, though I’ve found every other piece of Royal Stafford in the Clovelly pattern, I’ve never seen the teapot. I asked for help with Potty Training and never got back to the thread. Now, I seem to be unable to search (dial up!). Thanks to all who responded. Your suggestions were helpful and motivating! I wish I had better news to report. We had to give up, because she just wasn’t ready and ended up holding her poo for almost 6 days. The GP says to wait a few weeks and try again. ---

I’m curious about the guy who suspected his neighbours of some sort of illicit activity because of different cars showing up at their place all hours of the day. I think he thought they were dealing drugs, if memory serves me correctly. So he started posting regular updates on the SDMB. What eventually happened? Apologies if it was resolved in that thread, but I can’t find it anyways. ---

What ever happened to **tatertot**? I believe there was a thread about her this past fall, and no one seemed to know where she had gone. My biggest question about **tater** is what happened to her baby? I remember there were conflicting stories over whether she had miscarried in the spring or actually given birth in the summer. I just hope she’s OK; she was always one of my favorite Dopers. ---

I think the subject of **tatertot** is pretty much a dead issue at this point, unfortunately. Her boyfriend, **Damhna** , refused to cooperate, took a highly defensive stand that we would question them and refused to allow any of tater’s close friends to have any contact with her whatsoever. Her phone was disconnected, emails were returned undeliverable and snail mail went unanswered (though unreturned). They’ve both been banned from Straight Dope for lying about the status of the pregnancy – whether it be that they had a miscarriage or that they had a child, because both could not be true. And no explanation or apology was ever offered (to anyone, not even their supposed friends, which included my husband and I, for whom tater was supposed to stand up in our wedding!). Believe me, we miss her too, but clearly she has no interest in any of us, so it’s probably best left alone. ---

I want to know about the brother in law of a brother in law of a doper ( I think, if you follow that) who was hit by a rocket or something during Operation Iraqi Freedom and ended up losing his hand. Or possibly would lose his hand. Last I heard was he was now in Germany for RX. I can’t remember more than that, but this man has popped up on my personal radar of thoughts quite a bit. Also, **Coldfire** How is your dad doing? **Aha** how are you feeling since the tongue cancer? How did the doctors discover it? Did you feel anything? \*\*Opal \*\* you had surgery in November, how is that going? How the car situation? **Ms. Robin** how are you doing with **Airmandoors** gone? Not contesting your other arguments, but from a staff perspective, we’d prefer this matter left off the boards. We do not claim to know the entire truth in this case (in fact, that’s the problem right there), but we know enough to see that it is beyond our control, in terms of being able to verify what it what. They weren’t banned as such, but they sure can’t post until they tell us what the deal is, so to speak. **Shirley** , my father is awaiting his test results for both the MRI scan and the CAT scan. Soon, his radiation treatments will start, and the docs say the prognosis is pretty good, for his sort of situation. Of course, you never know for sure… He just bought a new caravan trailer, so he’s obviously expecting a favourable result. 🙂 ---
