# Time once again for Most Hated Commercials

I’ve never thought the V-8 commercials made sense. Obviously the people in the ads don’t like vegetables–they’ve just rejected vegetables. Why would veggies in a liquid form be any more acceptable? It would seem more reasonable to me to show someone eating a huge mountain of veggies, enough so that they fall asleep at the table or miss their son’s dance recital. Then, slapping the forehead and saying “I could have had a V-8” would make sense.

I hate the Ford Focus commercial where the two guys are driving to Los Angeles and one guy proposes that he’ll buy the gas if his friend buys the food. They proceed, not ever once stopping for gas but frequently stopping for food. At the end, they arrive in LA and the friend says, “Next time, I’m buying gas.”

Dude is a jerk for making this proposal, implying the division of cost will be more or less equal yet knowing full well he won’t be stopping much for gas. And he’s a prick for gorging himself every time they stopped for food. Him and his Douchemobile can both DIAF.
