Uh, hey **levdrakon**? I think they were kidding… You need a bucket to drip into? Or maybe I should say, gush into? Gurgle once for yes, twice for no. Anyhow, it’ll be shame to see such a good moderator go, **TVeblen**. Many would see the power you were given as license to fly off the handle, but you’ve always seemed very fair-minded and (dare I say it?) _nice_. IOW, I appreciate your moderation in being a moderator. No one cleans up a mess like you do. Speaking of which… Which one of you moderators is gonna move this pile of over-reacting, gurgling, blood-spewing mess? And in case there’s any doubt, I am **not** volunteering. ---

Holy Spittle, it’s been five years. I remember – smacks dentures – that fateful day they made you a mod way back when. I thought: “Nah, too rational, too levelheaded, she’ll never last.” And see, I was right – just took a while. So, what was your final Pit thread count. I thought I remembered one, and maybe a joke, but I’m not sure. ---

Well, I really can’t say strongly enough how sorry I am to see **Veb** go. She’s been a mod here for almost as long as I’ve been a poster, and she’s probably the one I spent the most time trying to emulate when I started this gig. She did a tough job well for a long, long time. Since she’s (hopefully) sticking around as a poster, there’s no need for farewells, but now that I know what the job involves, I can say without exaggeration that she really deserves more recognition and appreciation for her work here than I can give. You did well, Thorstein. Thanks. It’s a sign that I’ve been here a while when most of the people I think of as “the new mods” are retired - Arnold, Uncle Beer, Veb and Coldfire. Only Arnold was an obvious pick to me at the time, but they all did well.
