Time to pit former sheriff Patrick J. Sullivan Jr. of Arapahoe County, CO

Sullivan pled guilty today to possession of meth (felony) and solicitation of prostitution (misdemeanor). Two other charges were dropped.

He got 38 days in jail, with eight days credit for while he was held earlier, which spares him the state prison. Two years probation and an $1100 fine.

I think he got off a bit light.

Denver Post

I agree, especially given that his position gave him some implied coercive power over his victims.

If he arrested individuals for the possession of drugs or for prostitution he’s still a hypocrite.

Just a quick update: the Arapahoe County Jail no longer bears Sullivan’s name.

Still bears Sullivan, though, I see.
